Free Fit and Fall Proof™ Instructor Training

Regular and fill-in instructors needed in Boise area

The Central District Health Department is looking for a few good men and women to lead Fit and Fall Proof™ classes in the Boise area. A free instructor training class will be offered on Monday May 23rd from 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. to fill vacancies and to create a pool of on-call instructors. Those interested in becoming volunteer Fit and Fall Proof™ class leaders must call Lindsay Byars at 208-327-8591 to register for the class. Once registered, class participants will be given the class location.

As the population of older Idahoans grows the demand for Fit and Fall Proof™ classes also increases. The Fit and Fall Proof™ curriculum helps seniors prevent debilitating falls with strength and balance training. By becoming a Fit and Fall Proof™ volunteer instructor you can help seniors lead happy, healthy and independent lives. Most volunteers teach once or twice a week (1-3 hrs a week), so the time commitment is minimal.

CDHD sponsors Fit and Fall Proof™ classes in 23 locations throughout its four-county area. A complete schedule of classes is available here.
