Enroll Now In Free Tobacco Cessation Classes
The Central District Health Department (CDHD) is offering another series of Free Tobacco Cessation classes starting February 1st. If you have resolved to quit your tobacco habit but haven’t done it yet, research shows enrolling in a class is the most effective method of quitting. The classes involve 5 sessions over 4 weeks, and are scheduled for afternoon and evening hours to fit your schedule.
Quitting tobacco is tough, but over the course of ten hours these classes provide participants with education and support to keep them tobacco-free permanently.
The classes are free but registration is required. Call 208-375-5211 to register for one of these classes. All tobacco cessation classes are funded by the Idaho Tobacco Millennium Fund.
Tobacco users can also get Free Nicotine Replacement Therapy by calling 1-800-QUIT-NOW (784-8669) or by logging on to Idaho.quitnet.com. Tobacco users can request a 4 week supply of their choice of nicotine patches, gum or lozenges.
