CDHD Expands Priority Groups at Ada County PODs
The Central District Health Department (CDHD) is expanding the Priority Groups at its two Ada County Point of Dispensing (POD) clinics effective immediately. Now more people will be able to get H1N1 (swine) flu vaccinations.
The PODs are open to members of the Priority Groups, those individuals, especially children, who are vulnerable to the most serious effects of influenza infection. Priority Groups now include:
- pregnant women,
- people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age,
- health care and emergency medical services personnel
- Persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old
- People 25 through 64 years of age with chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.
Ada POD Locations:
- The former K-Mart store - 1001 Park Center Blvd., Boise
- The former Comp USA store - 1195 N Milwaukee St., Boise
Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or until vaccine runs out.
Each POD started the day with more than 2800 doses of H1N1 flu vaccine.
