Meals On Wheels Needs Drivers

The Meals On Wheels program needs additional volunteer drivers to deliver meals to homebound elderly in the Boise area. There are two routes in need of drivers.

The first route is in the Overland-Latah area and a driver is needed every Friday. The second route is in East Boise and needs drivers for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. All routes take about an hour to complete and have between 6 and 16 stops. Individuals interested in becoming volunteer drivers for the Meals On Wheels program should contact Cheryl Johnson at 327-8552 about these openings.

The Meals On Wheels program delivers nearly 600 hot meals every weekday in Ada and Elmore counties.
